Flutist Elisabet Franch has received numerous international recognitions: Grand Prix of the 27th World Music Competition, Vienna New Year's International Music Competition (Vienna, Austria), 1st prize and Jury Prize at the American Protégé Woodwinds and Brass Competition (Carnegie Hall, New York, USA), Anton Rubinstein International Flute Competition (Berlin, Germany), Domenico Cimarosa International Flute Competition (Aversa, Italy), Golden Classical Awards (New York, USA), Primer Palau (Barcelona, Spain), among others.
Her debut album, Gypsy Airs (Solfa Recordings, 2015) was awarded two gold medals (Album and Artist) at the Global Music Awards in California and Best Classical Album at the Akademia Music Awards in Los Angeles. The album was well received by national and international critics. Reviews published in Pizzicato Magazine (Luxembourg), The Flute View (USA), Revista Musical Catalana and Platea Magazine highlighted the performer's musicality, sound, maturity and brilliant technique.
In 2013 she received the Ciutat de Sant Cugat Award "for carrying the name of Sant Cugat around the world associated with talent and excellence". In the same year, the legendary flutist Sir James Galway presented her with the “Rising Star” Award at the Galway Flute Festival (Weggis, Switzerland) and in 2018 presented her in concert with him as one of her most prominent disciples.
Elisabet was a member of the Orchestra of the Academy of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and later of the Orchestra dell'Accademia of the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, working with Gustavo Dudamel, Gianandrea Noseda, Fabio Luisi, David Coleman, Antonello Alemandi and Sebastian Weigle, among others. In 2016 he moved to China after winning the Co-Principal flute audition of Suzhou Symphony Orchestra. Two years later, she was appointed Principal Flute of Tianjin.
In May 2022, she debuts with Sony Classical, releasing his second album, Franch plays Franck, with acclaimed pianist Albert Guinovart, with whom he regularly performs as a duet. After it's release, the Album was awarded two Gold Medals at The Global Music Awards (California), Melómano de Oro (Spain) and Gold Medal at the World Classical Music Awards (London). Thanks to this work, Elisabet is distinguished with Premi Talent 2022 Culture: Music and Composition (Barcelona). On January 2023 Elisabet makes her debut at Taipei National Concert Hall & Theatre.
Elisabet currently serves as Assistant Principal Flute of Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès and combines her duties with the orchestra with her solo career. Elisabet is represented by Seed Music-Artistic Services.
